Jim Oakes
Mr. Oakes serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the ADV. He has spent more than 30 years in healthcare information systems and management engineering, with extensive experience as an operating manager, as a vendor executive, and as a consultant. Mr. Oakes specializes in helping healthcare providers plan and optimize their use of information resources, systems, and technology to improve clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. He serves on the Board of Directors of Five Talents International, an initiative of the worldwide Anglican Communion dedicated to providing economic opportunity to the poorest of the poor throughout the world by sponsoring micro-finance loans, training, and business opportunity for poor entrepreneurs, and also serves on the board of Crosslink International, a ministry dedicated to providing supplies and equipment for medical missions worldwide. Mr. Oakes attends Truro Church, where he previously served on the vestry.
David Allison
Dr. Allison serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the ADV Board of Directors. A historian of science by training, Mr. Allison has worked as a curator for the National Museum of American History for 20 years and currently serves as the Chairman for Information Technology and Communications. He holds a PhD from Princeton University, and has published in a number of scholarly journals. Mr. Allison attends Church of the Apostles.
Carol Jackson
Mrs. Jackson joined the ADV Board in 2009 after serving as Jr. Warden of The Falls Church in 2005-2007--years in which The Falls Church played a leadership role in the founding of the Anglican District of Virginia. Mrs. Jackson has been an active member of The Falls Church since 1992, serving two Vestry terms, as well as enjoying a 6 year season on the staff as New Member Connections and Alpha Coordinator. She also served as the informal liaison for The Falls Church to the local jurisdiction, City of Falls Church. Her community activist connections lead to her present occupation as Executive Director for Falls Church Housing Corporation, a community-based non-profit dedicated to owning and operating permanently affordable rental properties in the Falls Church area. Mrs. Jackson is married to Charlie; they have 2 young adult daughters, both employed in the field of education. Prior to becoming involved in the local community, Mrs. Jackson worked as Director of Administration for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She earned her BA from College of William and Mary.
Mary McReynolds
Ms. McReynolds serves as Chancellor and Secretary of the ADV Board of Directors. A member of the Bar in Washington DC, Ms. McReynolds has served as counsel for a variety of non-profit and for-profit religious, arts, educational and business corporations, conducting and managing complex litigation on trial and appellate levels. Ms. McReynolds is also a professional vocalist and founding member of three performing arts organizations in Washington DC. She serves on the vestry of All Saints’ Church in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
Warren Thrasher
Mr. Thrasher is a founding member of the ADV Board. He served as a captain in the US Army and was awarded a bronze star for service in Vietnam before beginning a successful management executive career spanning BellSouth, AT&T, Quest, and Cogent Communications. He grew up in the Methodist Church, but was confirmed as an Episcopalian in 1974. Since then he has served on a number of vestries often as a warden and has been a delegate to Diocesan council. Mr. Thrasher and his wife, Emily, are members of the Compass Rose Society, which supports the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Anglican Communion Office. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Lamb Center, a mission for the homeless in Fairfax County and is also Founder and Chairman of Infovark, an innovative Enterprise 2.0 company Mr. Thrasher attends Truro Church in Fairfax where he is a trustee.
Rev. Robin Rauh
Robin came to the Church of the Epiphany, Herndon, Virginia in August of 1997 from St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Huntsville Alabama where he was rector for eight years. He started as an associate rector in Holy Cross, Troy, New York in 1980 and then moved to Virginia where he served on the staff of Church of the Apostles, Fairfax as associate and later interim rector. He is a graduate of Univ. of Massachusetts (1973) with a degree in art, and holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological School, 1980 where his biblical preaching style was formed and his love of scripture enriched. He is an “x-rock and roll musician”, painter and loves to ride his bike in the great outdoors..
Rev. Clancy Nixon
“The Rev. Clarence B. (“Clancy”) Nixon III is Rector of Church of the Holy Spirit (Anglican) in Ashburn, Virginia. He is the founding pastor of this 200 member church. Church planting is a passion for him; he coaches other church planters and he speaks at conferences around the country on that subject. He has served on several boards of mission organizations, including the Diocese of Virginia Church Planting Commission, Rock the World Youth Mission Alliance, Anglican District of Virginia Church Planting Committee, the Anglican Communion Network Church Planting Task Force, the Titus Institute for Church Planting, and the ADV Synod Council. He had a 15 year career as a corporate attorney with a business and finance practice, including with Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft, and Freddie Mac, before entering full-time ministry. He remains a member of the bar of the District of Columbia.”
Rev. Huey Sevier
Huey is the Vicar of Christ the Saviour Anglican Church, a new church plant in the Mount Vernon section of Fairfax County. Prior to serving at Christ the Saviour, he served Episcopal churches in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. He completed his undergraduate work at Salisbury University in Maryland (1971) and taught U. S. History at Wicomico Senior High School in Salisbury MD for seven years before earning his Master of Divinity at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria VA (1981). Huey is married to Vicki, his bride of 39 years. They have two sons Andrew and Aaron who is married to their lovely daughter-in-law Lauren.

Rev. James L. Guthrie Jr.
Rev. James Guthrie serves as the Communications Coordinator of the ADV. He is a 2007 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary. He was ordained a Transitional Deacon by Bishop Martyn Minns on October 20, 2007 and ordained a priest by Bishop David Bena on May 17, 2008. Rev. Guthrie also works with the small mission groups that are part of the ADV. He has a passion for church planting and is hoping to be able to soon begin planting a new congregation for the ADV. He found the Anglican way of worship in 1990 when the independent Charismatic church he was attending joined the Episcopal Church. He lived most of his life in Southern Georgia before moving to Alexandria, Virginia to attend seminary. He and his wife Linda reside in Fairfax, Virginia where Linda is a special education teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. In his spare time, James loves to cook and to read as well as compose music.
