The Task Force on Diocesan Status was commissioned at the 2009 Annual Synod of the Anglican District of Virginia.  The purpose of the Task Force is to examine the questions that need to be examined to move the Anglican District of Virginia into a Diocese of the new Anglican Church in North America.  The Task Force is made up of representatives from each of our member congregations and meets on a regular basis to examine and discuss future plans.  A report will be ready and will be issued at 2010 Synod with regards to the work of the Task Force.
